Now for the answer to the last post “What bird is this?”

First of all, thank you to everyone who voted. If you were right, way to go! If you didn’t get it right, no big deal —you’ll get the next one. I appreciate everyone who gave it a shot.

So … the mystery bird is a Green Heron. Herons and egrets can be tricky at times because their posture is so different from time to time. Sometimes they are standing tall and proud with their long necks outstretched, and sometimes they sit “slouched” over with their their necks pretty much tucked into their bodies.
